"I just go for it and give it all I've got"

12 months of Beach ICE sessions, what the biggest thing you've noticed?
I do things more with ease...with that ease I know I can push myself harder than before. I've noticed changes in my body shape - I look fitter and feel better. The biggest change I've noticed is how hard I can push myself now - I know where my threshold is and try to push past that. Our interval running sessions have helped me understand this. I used to do these sessions with a little reserve in the tank, not now - I go for it and give it all I've got.

Why do you like coming to Beach ICE?
Body, mind and soul. Body - the fitness part. Mind - the positive mindset you develop, and the live well, feel well, be well. Soul - the morning kick, the beach, the air, the achievement.

What's your favourite exercise?
Sand dune running.....scary saying that as 12 months ago it was my least favourite lol. I really enjoy our interval running sessions - they're hard and tough but rewarding.

Least favourite?
Lunge jumps and squat jumps.

Why would you recommend Beach ICE to others?
I started with no level of fitness...it's just a matter of saying I can do it...everyone is very supportive and are all at different levels. Once you start you do the best you can - I've never seen anyone start and not finish. I've seen others start with no level of fitness whatsoever to now seeing them ripping it up out there. All abilities and fitness levels are catered for and no one ever feels left out or left behind...and at 6am - what better way to start the day - look where we live!

Any advice you can give to others?

Try and get to every session, push yourself as hard as you can. Such a great supportive group, everyone's always positive, encouraging and supporting. Everyone is made to feel welcome and be part of the team. Even with no level of fitness, anyone can start. Oh, and this time of the year you'll need to bring 2 towels lol.
